Swords, Ireland, July 3, 2017 – Ingersoll-Rand plc (NYSE:IR), a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable and efficient environments, announced today it has completed the acquisition of MB Air Systems Limited. The transaction closed on June 30, 2017.

The acquisition strengthens the company’s comprehensive supply and service capabilities with opportunities to increase the footprint in the United Kingdom (UK). MB Air Systems Limited has been Ingersoll Rand’s distributor since 1973 and is one of the company’s largest industrial distributors in Europe representing Ingersoll Rand’s Compression Technologies and Services, Material Handling and Power Tools businesses. It operates from four locations (Aberdeen, Boldon and Fareham) with headquarters in Wishaw, near Glasgow. The company has recently opened a brand new facility in Aberdeen with testing capabilities for winches and hoists.
